Returns, refunds, and how to resolve an issue with your order.
Overview
Thank you for shopping with Brooklyn Scent. We want you to love every order. If something isn't right, you may return eligible items within 30 days of delivery for a refund, subject to the terms below.
Return Eligibility
To qualify for a return, items must be:
- Returned within 30 days of delivery.
- Unopened, unused, and in original packaging, with any seals intact.
- Accompanied by your order number or proof of purchase.
Items We Cannot Accept
For health and safety reasons, the following are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged:
- Opened, used, or partially used fragrance products.
- Items with broken seals or tampered packaging.
- Sample sizes, gift cards, and digital products.
- Sale, clearance, or items marked final sale.
- Items damaged due to misuse or improper storage.
How to Start a Return
Please email info@brooklynscent.com with your order number and the reason for your return. Our team will respond within 1–2 business days with return instructions and a Return Authorization (RMA) number.
Please do not ship items back without first receiving an RMA — returns sent without authorization may be refused or delayed.
Return Shipping
Return shipping is the customer's responsibility unless the item arrived damaged, defective, or was sent in error. Original shipping fees are non-refundable.
For your protection, please use a trackable shipping service. We are not responsible for items lost or damaged in transit. For returns valued over $75, we strongly recommend purchasing shipping insurance.

Restocking Fee
A 15% restocking fee applies to all returns of non-defective items. The fee is deducted from your refund.
Refunds
Once we receive and inspect your return, we'll email you to confirm receipt and notify you whether your refund has been approved. Approved refunds are processed to your original payment method within 5–10 business days. Depending on your bank, it may take additional time for the refund to appear on your statement.
If you haven't received your refund 10 business days after our confirmation email, please first check with your bank or credit card provider, then contact us at info@brooklynscent.com.
Damaged or Defective Items
If your order arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, please contact us at info@brooklynscent.com within 7 days of delivery with photos of the item and packaging. We'll send a prepaid return label and ship a replacement or issue a full refund — your choice. No restocking fee applies to damaged or defective items.
Exchanges
We do not offer direct exchanges. If you'd like a different product, please return the original item per the steps above and place a new order for the item you want.
Gifts
If the item was marked as a gift at checkout and shipped directly to you, a refund will be issued as store credit once the return is received. If the order was shipped to the gift giver, the refund will go to their original payment method.
Order Cancellations
Orders may be canceled within 1 hour of placement, before they enter our fulfillment process. After that, please follow the return steps above once your order arrives.
